What Are The Signs Of Foundation Problems? 

Home foundations in Texas are very susceptible to problems with settling, sinking, and becoming unlevel due to the expansive clay soil. Clay soil is problematic due to its composition and its reaction to water - clay expands and contracts significantly more than looser soil and is a poor aquifer which means the water does not easily soak.

Poor drainage saturates surrounding soil, causing it to swell and push against the subterranean walls or it can also cause the earth around your home to erode, leaving your foundation on less stable ground.  Changing soil conditions, age or improperly compressed soils often result in uneven distribution of weight leading to significant structural damage and several of the symptoms below.
